Foundation for Affordable Housing, founded by Tom and Deborrah Willard, is a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) public benefit nonprofit corporation. With expertise, experience, and care, we ease the burden of State, County, and Local Housing Authorities through the construction, acquisition, and operation of low-income and senior housing. Our goal is to lend our years of hard-won experience to make the process as straightforward as possible. By focusing on the profitability and sustainability of each of our projects, we build safe and comfortable housing for those who need it most.

Financing an affordable housing community can be a complicated and time-consuming process. But it doesn’t need to be. By leveraging our years of experience and our extensive network of strategic partners, we secure financing for our wholly owned communities and assist our developer partners in funding our joint projects. We excel in acquiring grants and soft loans for projects, accessing creative financing solutions, and ensuring that our properties comply with government regulations

Property Monitoring and Compliance

To ensure the long-term sustainability of our communities, we take an active, hands-on approach. We understand the regulations imposed by our funding sources and diligently monitor our properties to ensure that they remain in compliance. We have strong in-house asset management team and oversee our third party property management companies. Through careful asset management, we ensure resident satisfaction and positive cash-flow.
