Meet Violeta! Violeta has been a Service Coordinator at our Park Sunset senior community in San Francisco since June 2018. While her community is small, it is vibrant with activities, socials and gardens. Each week her seniors can be found participating in exercise classes, garden clubs, birthday socials, Bingo, holiday gatherings and informational workshops on earthquake preparedness and medical benefits. Violeta’s residents are also recipients of the local food bank’s once a month food delivery which is a significant benefit considering all her residents are low income living on a fixed monthly budget.
Violeta loves her job and can’t wait to go to work each day. Her work now is a huge change from her days as a real estate broker, but she wouldn’t trade it for anything. She feels as a resident coordinator, she has a chance to make a real difference in the residents’ lives. She has found her calling and finds pure joy in helping those she serves to better their lives one step at a time. Her goal is to help her residents stay happy, stay healthy and most importantly, to age in place comfortably where they feel most comfortable.
In her free time Violeta spends time with her family and she loves taking daily walks, eating out, and trying new experiences. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Marketing.
