Veterans Picture Picutre by City of Fountain Valley scaledA Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held recently  to celebrate the completion of the Fountain Valley’s first affordable housing complex in almost two decades. Prado Family Homes, located on Harbor Blvd in Orange  County, is a 50 unit complex with reduced rents that make the new, high-end apartments affordable to low-income renters. Veterans will also benefit from the new complex as 8 fully furnished units have been designated to provide permanent supportive housing for Veterans who are  at risk of homelessness

FFAH is the managing general partner for the housing complex, which was built by Related California.   The development is comprised of five, two and three-story walk-up residential buildings with tuck-under parking, including one community building, complete with property management and social services offices along with a multipurpose area with open kitchen.

Onsite amenities include a tot lot, barbecue and picnic area, separate area for teen fitness and recreation, community laundry, and generous outdoor spaces. LifeSTEPS is the social services program present to offer onsite supportive and educational services to help residents on a tight budget.
